I see the wardrobe door is very warped. It is now listed as sold, hopefully the new owner did all the relevant checks.

We looked at retro-fitting cab aircon in helga. Cost was around £2500. I like the look of the roof mounted one, gives you on the road and on site cooling.

Very good points Barry, It does look too cheap to be true.

Had a good look at the photos and got the reg to be PO54BUV, looking at the MOT history the milage is correct, with it being due end of May 2021.

His feedback is not fantastic on eBay, so it is defiantly ‘Buyer beware’.

              Hi Tom

Thanks for the heads up on this, have joined already!

There are several interesting ideas on there, some of which I will take further.

Many thanks for looking at updating the little Exsis book, it is invaluable.

                Hi Tom

I have not had any experience with the Multiecuscan software, if I need any codes reading my mechanic has a snap on unit which reads the ECU codes with no problem.

May be worth ringing a local garage to see if you can go down have them plug their computer in.

Barry, many many thanks for all you have done with the Exsis Owners site over the years, your knowledge of the Exsis and you dedication will be sorely missed. Good luck in your future travels and hopefully we will see you on the road sometime.

As Barry said, I am Chris and am now running and looking after the Exsis Owners Site. Along with Amanda, our 2 sons and myself we have the privilege of owner Helga The Hymer, a 2006 Exsis SG.

There is already a wealth of information on here, if its not here, please ask, one of the members  on here will have probably encountered your problem or question already.

Tom’s little Exsis album is invaluable and hopefully we can keep it updated and driven forward with new and updated content.

It may take a while for the new website to bed in and any errors ironed out since it has moved to new servers, so please bear with us.

                    Hi Marley

Not sure where you are based, but we had Helga remapped by these people: http://www.deltaperformance.co.uk. They are a mobile service covering  East Anglia/south east,  but I am sure there are other companies doing the same thing. It didn’t improve fuel economy at all, but the extra 30bhp, and more importantly extra torque makes for a much more comfortable drive. There are less gear changes and she pulls up the hills without having to change down. Also gives people a bit of the shock when you pull away at the lights!

                      Hi Himmel

I know what Barry means about making you more ‘Static’ using a Safari room.

When we go to festival or for a few days away on a campsite we have a couple of the Thule Rain blockers:

We have one for the end, and a 2m front panel. They are light and easy to put up, the supplied roof bars also make the awning much stiffer and more wind proof as well. While they don’t create the extra ‘room’ they do offer a bit of protection from the wind and rain.

                        Hi Barry,

Ok, I’ll give it a go.  I’ll commit to running the site for one year to see how it goes.  What’s the next step?

                          Hi Fred

Thanks for that, yes the removal steering wheel is very useful, allows the seat to slide 6″ or so further back when it is turned towards the table. Also very useful when parked up at home, steering wheel removed, and safely in the house!

It can be lifted to allow easy access, and also adjusted for angle with a knob at the back of it.

While it is not exactly the same as the original, I think it looks good and as another thumbs up Amanda now wants one on the passenger seat!

Arm rest fitted and locked in place with grub screw.

Seat covers replaced and cut, and the supplied plastic trim put around the arm rest bracket.

The foam is put back and cut to allow the bracket to poke through.
