        1. Hi Fred, the actual model we have bought is an Adria Matrix Axess 520 ST. It’s 5.95m long, 2.20m wide and under 3m high. It has fowur belted seats, an electric bed over a large lounge that converts to beds for the grandkids, a rear kitchen and bathroom and all sits on a Fiat 2.3 chassis. So it’s a bit bigger than an Exsis but has a big open plan layout, perfect for our emerging needs. Thanks for your kind words and we’d be delighted to stay in the great Hymer Exsis community. Regards to you both. Mike.

Dear Fred, Gill, Barry and Maggie, ah if life in these challenging times were to be filled with the perfect dream, I’d be leading the charge to Hymer’s door with an order! But alas we all get that bit older and so the time has come to bid farewell to the best motorhome ever conceived and built. We had such great times together with you all connected with the Exsis Owners’ Forum. France and I will both hold many memories dear for ever. Wishing you all a very merry Xmas and a happy and above all a healthy new year. Yours, Mike.

Dear Barry, thank you so much for the many years of work you have put into building the support network, that is known as the Exsis Owners’ Forum. Nothing has been too much trouble and your advice and help has seen us ‘back on the road’ a number of times, not least in this last week! We both hope that that the sale of your Exsis proceeds without hiccup and that we’ll see you again at an Exsis meet somewhere, as an honorary member! With best best wishes to you and Maggie, Mike and France.

Hi Fred, I’m on the road so only have time for a quick reply. You can count on my £20. This is an excellent initiative and thank you very much. Just let me know in due course where to transfer the money. Cheers, Mike.

Hi Barry, thanks so much for this. Must admit I didn’t think to look there. Sorry to hear that you’re moving on and if I got the right impression from a previous post, you are selling your camper. Is this right? If so, let’s not lose touch, it’s always been a pleasure to have shared Exsis the experience with you and the expertise that you have built over the years is invaluable to all of us! With very Best wishes to you and Maggie, Mike.

Hi Ali and Ted, good to hear from you two. I remember well your excellent tales about a year in an Exsis when we met at the last Exsistavaganza!  The email address given by Fred is current and I paid £135 ex Derby. Derek would charge you delivery and in my case this would have been £10. Cheers, Mike.

Thanks for your response Barry. France and I are well. We’ve had our trials and tribulations over the last year but we are doing fine now. In view of your previous comments, I went to visit Derek in Derby to collect the replacement wash-basin and I’m satisfied that he is able to make good quality products at acceptable prices and is motivated to keep his business running. So I think we can move on from previously reported third party experiences, especially given that you and I personally have had good service from him. As our beloved Exses get older, it is important that we all have access to increasingly rare replacement parts, especially in View of Hymer’s very high prices! By the way, Derek has already built a mould for the wash basin backing/tap/shower head assembly. Mine is cracking and I will need one soon. I will have no hesitation in going back to Derek for this. Cheers, Mike

Late last year, we bought a Kampa Travel Pod Motion Air driveaway awning. We’ve used it for a few days and it is fantastic. We carry it in a Fiamma back box (mounted on the cycle rack). We have found already that it gives us so much more living space when staying in the same place for more than a few days.   I would highly recommend it. Cheers, Mike.
