My last service included a timing belt change, recharging  the a/c system, all oils and filters etc came to £447 including labour. It was carried out by Hull Van Centre who know the Exsis well. I’m not sure where you are in the UK but it may be more economical to go there and stay in a 5 star hotel for the weekend whilst your van is serviced!

Try pulling the whole latch unit a few cm’s towards you whilst standing in front of the engine. Mine had a similar problem, the unit had moved slightly and was failing to engage the bonnet catch. Hope this simple solution works!

Hi All, l took mine to my trusted garage who diagnosed a faulty temperature sender; no surprises there! They replaced it and the gauge appeared ok on the drive home. Taking the van away this weekend so will report back later. Thanks for all the comments and suggestions.

Barry & Maggie, many thanks for your prompt and comprehensive response, you’ve certainly given me food for thought! I may hold off this winter, invest in some quality wax, and see how the van gets on. I agree with you, it will be a labourious effort putting it on and off, especially when we intend a few winter days away. Again, thanks for the reply and congratulations on this great new website!
