Hi Fred . I know they look fine in the shade but when the sun is on them they are both  very badly crazed . I asume in the MOT garage they would not show up ??? risky if lights are tested ?? Good news is I have read about ridiculouss prices £300 upwards each , scary ! Got in touch thanks to you Fred Coastal Motorhomes. £79 pounds each a snip these days , and they are on the way. MOT failure plus having to get new ones only a few in stock  so was sensible idea. So good outcome and what could have been exspensive job solved. Thanks again Fred for your help much appreciated.

Hi Keith , been on to my insurance , they are satisfied if it passes M.O.T. inspection for proper fitting and you don’t carry more passengers than there is seat belts for . Inform the D.V.L.A of the changes but I have learnt that they don’t want to know because it it will not change your registration ?? and they will not make any changes to your log , funny one ?? book  but check that out.

When we were buying  our van in our enthusiasm at the lower bed for the kids and the space and planning trips and seats at the back , after we purchased it dawned on us !!!  How can you sell a van advertised that sleeps three or maybe four and only as two seat belts ?? Hopefully now cured. Also keep an eye on your weight but you can always economise on that. Have fun we did during lock down , kept the old grey matter going.

            stay safe best regards Fred

Hi Tom, Tried everything including new relay . Culprit was the relay connections on the horn side in the actual fuse box ? so everything still worked including the horn  . . .past the relay ? was starting to think it was a broken cable . Ran out of time looking and of course it failed the M.O.T. ! but my horn now works. So got a clean bill of health.

                        thanks Tom stay safe

Hi Tom , Barry . Had to accept defeat with the horn . Wheel contact operates relay , fuse ok , so problem after the fuse box.  Still no supply to horn ?? Run out of time  M.O.T. today so professionals going to sort it ? . . . fingers crossed.

Thank you for your help , stay safe

Thank you Tom and again thank you Barry . Fuse marked on the lid to be there and not there caused the confusion. With the help of Tom and link to a fuse diagram its home is evidently in the engine compartment fuse box. So now to check that when the rain stops . Thank you all my friends it all helps with the old grey matter as we say up North nowt like fettling a problem the sen. Will keep you informed thanks again stay safe my friends

Thanks again Barry it is away having both springs and shockers  done , will keep you informed. Big job though if you only want the dust covers replacing and they  only have a two tear guarantee ? Looking at my shockers and the ones on the video plenty of mud and dust . Niche market for a clever new idea ?

Hi Maggie and Barry , I am a new member and already I have found  advice and help you give and of other members invaluable .  In fact the only source available at all ! It would be tragic for both you and members if it were to end . I have had already many problems with my Exsis but can see as all of you do it is a wonderful van maybe flawed in places but best designs usually  are ,  you can’t have perfection. So even though I have been a member a short time already you have given me years of advice for which I thank you. I only wish I could help Barry but like you I am ready for a more peaceful escape after years in the pressure cooker of life and we both hope to disappear somewhere into our lovely countryside, with our van of course. So good luck and health to you both and from Kath and I a very big thank you .

                                  Kath and Fred
