Several owners have reported a broken skylight winding handle, myself included. I think “vigorous winding” could be the culprit here – Fred and I agree on this! The handle lends itself to being whizzed round to raise or lower the roof as quickly as possible.
So, if yours isn’t broken, you have the answer… don’t ‘whizz’ it!
There seems to be some confusion over which replacement handle to order, as there are two similar possibilities, so be careful when ordering, to describe yours.
