Thanks Chris and Susan and hi Fred.

The good news is that the fridge leak was just the blocked condensation run. Alistair sanded down the damaged area, and filled it, sanded, filled and then sprayed with a Valspar paint which we’d already used for the spotlights. It’s the same colour but not the pearly version. It looks better than damage and we will try and get a better match.

Al hasn’t really ridden much this year and not the old bikes, no. Though his regular bike is an old BMW GS. At the start of the pandemic he didn’t want to ride in case of accident and ending up in overstretched hospitals. This year has been really wet and he’s just not felt like it. Same with racing… didn’t think it sensible to put himself at risk.

Next year, as you say, we have all our fingers crossed that it will be brighter!

Hello… do you recall what size we need? Ours on the drawer by the door (!) has broken. Thank you in advance!

          Hi

we have a Vango air canopy & sides. It’s ok for less inclement weather and it’s super easy and quick to put up. We had to install the correct kador rail (actually the one on the van is good but a Fiamma awning bracket covered it).

there is another company (can’t remember who) who makes air awning in a thicker fabric.

ours fits neatly under the bench seat but does take up most of the room there – the pump is quite big.
          hope that helps

What can we say…. this forum is such a lovely place to visit, so full of amazing information and people. I think Exsis owners must be a certain type of person and I feel very privileged to be one of you.

Barry, it has been an absolute pleasure. Your fun at the Exsistravaganzas will always be a wonderful memory, and your support and helpfulness throughout so kind. You and Fred are quite the double act.

It’s nice to meet you, Chris. Thank you for enabling this lovely site to continue. Hope we meet you in real life sometime.

            Barry – you are officially a legend. Don’t be a stranger x

                Hello

I sent quite a long reply yesterday evening but i can’t see it… did anyone else see it?

I can redo but wondered if it was stuck in a pipe somewhere….

                Katy

                      Hi Jean and Erwin

We live in Seaford – do wave if you’re passing 😉

We’ve used a couple of garages, over the years. I’ll reply later this evening with names as it’s Alistair who takes them in.

There was a Fiat/Hymer in Poole called Essenjay who were good but expensive and quite far from us. We’ve also used a place out near Tenterden whose workshop was tall enough for the Exsis, and a campervan place in Eastbourne.

We have had a few things to repair, most of which Alistair has done himself – he was a diesel fitter – but it’s been serviced and cam belt changed elsewhere.

will let you know where later.

This site is an invaluable resource; absolutely invaluable and it would be a real shame to lose the information it holds. Not to mention lose touch with everyone here. The Facebook group is a good supplement but this site is very important. An active owners group feels like it keeps the value of the exsises high because it enables us all to keep them soundly maintained.

Barry (& son) you have been gems and gents and maybe our paths will cross again. I’d like to hope soz

cheque is in the post, so to speak.

I will indeed keep you posted.

How lovely! We were in Gedinne for the Classic Belgian TT (bikes). Campsite looks very similar! Been home two weeks and just about got a tiny bit of Belgian chocolate left!

                                Happy travels.

Hi Chris, did you install the bottle and filler yourself?

And are you finding LPG ok here? (I read on another forum that people were finding it a bit more difficult to find).
