Keith Pemberton and his wife visited us in Dunnet last week on their way to Orkney – I tried to add a couple of photos of our ‘encounter’ from my computer but cannot work out how to do it – any ideas ?
Tom.

Yes, Tom.
Just click on the little square ‘picture’ icon near the formatting icons when you’re creating a post. It will give you the option to select the picture from your computer, ‘phone, etc., in the normal way.

Dear Barry – when I click on the photo icon ( mountain ?) it then asks me to select – I choose my photo album and then see a rotting beach ball — for endless moments.
What am I dong wrong ?

Hi Tom.
I looked at your first post for some while, very puzzled, before I scrolled down and saw the explanation!! 🙂
You should then get the option to select a picture, after the beach ball has rotted for a short while…!! I suspect it’s a setting on your computer, because you’ve had the option to choose your photo album. I’ll have to pass this one to my Son, Stephen (who set up this site) – it’s beyond my meagre grasp of computery-things.
Bear with me while I try to get the answer.

Hi,
So just to confirm. You are clicking the button circled below.
And then do you get the below small window pop up ?
Please let us know.
Cheers

Yes, I click on the icon you have shown , click on dd from my photo album and the beachball starts its incessant rolling !!
I have of course added photos to normal emails etc from my Macbook Air but not encountered this problem before

Hi,
I`m afraid my knowledge of Apple Macs is very limited. You say you are clicking on “dd” is that a folder on your Mac ? Does the folder have many files in it ? Maybe try a different folder with just a few pictures in there just to test?
Also try disabling any anti virus software to see if that makes any difference.
Thanks

Thanks, Steve. I know nothing about AppleMacs either.
For what it’s worth, Tom, maybe temporarily put the picture(s) on your desktop if you can, not in any folder, just on the desktop, and see if you’re able to select it/them then?
Good luck.

I’ve asked Stephen (webmaster) if it’s possible to enlarge these photos by “selecting” them or something. It’s with him now.
By the way, I deleted those empty posts, Tom.

Look good together, don’t they? Really nice-looking motorhomes.
The best were our line-ups at the Exsistravaganzas, though!

Hi Tom
A very belated reply to your post but it took me over 2 months to register! We really enjoyed meeting you and were sorry not to meet Phyllida. We hope her musical day went well. We visited Kirkwall cathedral as you suggested – it certainly is a tourist must do – and sent you a card which was rather loosely addressed because we’d overlooked noting down your address!
Thank you once again for introducing yourself,
With best wishes for 2019,
Keith.
