Entry light

Hi all

Has anyone had an issue with the entrance  light you switch on when using the step? For the first time tonight I cant switch it off, it works independently from the 12v switch.  I have had to remove the switch and disconnect the block connector.  At the moment not a problem, we are in portugal so I don’t have many tools with me but I would like to know if this is an independent circuit and nothing else will be affected.
